Bruxism is the clenching, grinding, and gnashing of teeth that occurs during sleep or in situations of stress-induced tension. This can result in wear and tear on the teeth, as well as pain in the jaw joint (located in front of the ear), and headaches and muscle pain. Chronic headaches may be caused by teeth grinding.

Bruxism can be treated with custom-made transparent plates worn at night. These plates have a protective and therapeutic role for the muscles, teeth, and jaw joint.
